DESIGN + RENOVATION | PERMANENT ARTWORK DEVELOPMENT | RAINWATER HARVESTING + TECHNOLOGY
A two-story, multi-function development dedicated to the exhibition of exceptional Miami artists and sanctuary for native, Florida plant life and monarch butterflies.
The build out and renovation includes the creation of four glass storefronts and a public gallery annex. The new custom irrigated courtyard serves as a collaborative greenspace, a dome greenhouse, and outdoor sculpture gallery with dynamic seating elements.
Permanent Artwork Development - The Butterfly Sanctuary by Franky Cruz is the first of a series of permanent and rotating art projects that will bridge the field of botany and artwork. Renovations to this historic property in the Alapattah to increase public access and additional hours for public events, sustainability and functionality, and artistic identity.
Eco Friendly Development - Implementation of a rainwater harvesting system, collection and usage of rainwater to supplement the irrigation system, and a timed irrigation system connected to a digital application to monitor all plant life healthy by phone, from anywhere.
